Venice

Located southwest of Florida and taking great share of the majestic views of the Gulf of Mexico is the city of Venice. Comfortably situated between Tampa and Fort Myers, Venice is the most favored coastal area in this part of Florida because it has no barrier island. This makes it accessible to the wondrous sights and sound of the seas, people and the usual sights that vacationers wish to get in their destination.

For those interested in real estate, the waterfront homes of Venice have a price range of $145,000 upwards. The best examples of these posh and practical vacation houses or permanent residential dwellings could be found along Hatchett Creek and Eagle Point Drive. Not only are the houses settled perfectly near the seas, many come with deep water properties where sixty-foot yachts could dock.

The real estate blossomed in Venice Island after the Army Corps of Engineers turnover the completed intra-coastal waterway in the city. Apart from the bliss that Venice offers, the beaches and coastal waters seemed to be favored by the sun all year long. The Gulf waters are friendly to bathers, and the fine sandy beaches collect magnificent shells and other sea life. Also, finding fossilized shark’s teeth is a common experience among Venice beaches. Just a mile or two off the shore, you increase the chance of finding the most priced shark’s teeth measuring between three to seven inches. This interesting pursuit paved way for Venice to come up with the annual Shark’s Tooth Festival every August where assorted activities are held. By this time of year, public beaches are bustling with people who want their summer vacation more exciting with finding a shark’s fossilized tooth or two.

Other than this predictably busy month, the rest of the year sees Venice laid back and truly a quiet tourist destination. Most speculators on real estate would be roaming around the place to learn more about properties, neighborhoods, laws and building codes, as well as business potentials. Those planning to make Venice a permanent residence would be checking out dock areas, penthouses and condo units, marina services and many others.

While many information materials about Venice present it to be rustic, it has all the amenities and services for bother locals and the visitors. Dining and shopping experiences are exquisite in this part of Florida, and so are the leisure options like arts, music, theater and de-stressing. In these areas, palm trees neatly line the avenues to compliment the Italian architecture and well-manicured landscapes. What makes these sights more interesting is its genuineness and truly ancient ambiance.
