St. Armands |

It’s not an island, it’s not even a beach resort, but it sure attracts plenty of attention and opportunities, being the leading haven for shoppers. It’s called St. Armand’s Circle, where vacationing meets business and pleasure all in one stop. For first time visitors, this means driving over the Ringling Bridge from Sarasota and going through its famed yacht club. The short cruise by water or roads ends with a bustling display of boutiques, restaurants, ice cream shops, cafes and souvenirs stores. After rounding up the glorious displays and tasting the offerings, there’s plenty of relaxing sites to take a breather in the midst of the residential areas. Apart from the obvious buying spree, there are also other feasts for various interests such as automobile shows and fairs, art exhibits and fancy circus shows. Visitors can start out in St. Armands by visiting the shops first and then hitting the beach later. Groups who don’t wish to shoop could also just pass time by people watching or making the short drive on to nearby South Lido Key. Better yet, there’s also a lot to learn from the famous research center called Mote Marine Laboratory at City Park, or enjoy relaxing walks along the mangroves. Whichever way you wish to experience St. Armand’s, there’s an equally glorious Florida experience before or after getting your piece of the circle. Taste it all!
